These planning services are often instrumental in establishing initial relationships with key financing partners.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

Small Business Development Centers offer management assistance and counseling to current and prospective small business owners, providing a viable resource for important information and guidance. Assistance is available in the form of accounting, recordkeeping, business planning, market research, financial analysis, and other areas. Assistance from a Small Business Development Center is available to anyone interested in starting a small business, or enhancing or expanding an existing small business.

SCORE Counselors to America’s Small Business

SCORE is a non-profit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth, and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

With 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, SCORE is comprised of both working and retired executives and business owners who donate time and valuable expertise as business counselors. Established in 1964, SCORE has 10,500 volunteers nationwide.
